Hands off Collective Labor Agreements — Withdraw the disgraceful bill now!

Colleagues,

Last weekend, the 33rd Congress of the Athens Labor Center (EKA) took place.

Despite the efforts of yellow trade unionism, the Congress turned into a strong and living expression of the workers’ voice. It was a real, active Congress, filled with workers from dozens of workplaces who shared their experience of struggle.

Our Union participated with three elected delegates, together with our sectoral Union, SETIP.

Following a proposal by the class-oriented forces within EKA, a four-hour work stoppage (12:00–16:00) and a mobilization at Syntagma were approved for Friday, 13/2, against the disgraceful law that freezes Collective Labor Agreements, making them dependent on algorithms and on the government’s dealings with the leadership of General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) and the employers.

Our Union calls on all workers to take part in the work stoppage and the mobilization together with all the unions of Athens.

We respond clearly: the issue of the Collective Agreement is exclusively a matter for the workers and their unions, and it must be determined solely according to our needs.

ALL TO SYNTAGMA TOMORROW AT 13:00!
