Press release for the General Assembly

All join the strike on 28 February!

Athens, 16-02-2025

Our Union held a General Assembly on Saturday 15/02 for the preparation of the strike.

Through rich discussion and exchange of experience from the company’s departments, we exchanged thoughts, opinions and concerns.

The strike on 28 February will be more massive!

To send a strong message to the government of the New Democracy, to the coalition “opposition” of SYRIZA-PASOK and all those who support the government policy, that we workers in the dilemma “their profits or our lives” will always choose the former!

We strike!

  • We strike so that the crime in Tempe is not covered up! All criminal and political responsibilities must be held accountable.
  • We strike to stop the dismissals in all departments now.
  • We strike to demand health and safety measures for all workers.
  • We are striking to get a Collective Labour Agreement signed with permanent contracts for everyone, with raises that cover our needs, rights and achievements that affect every aspect of our work.

The General Assembly decided the following:

  • Participation in the strike on 28 February, at 11.00 am at Syntagma.
  • Organizing meetings in the following period by project on the subject of the CLA.

26 January at 12.00pm in Syntagma for “our future and our lives”

Uncategorized January 25, 2025

Colleagues,

The new audio documents from the crime in Tempe clearly debunk the attempted cover-up by the state, the government, the EU and Hellenic Train. They confirm in the most tragic way that many of the victims survived the collision and died a horrible death in the explosions and fire that followed.

It has been 2 years since the crime and the death of 57 people, mostly young people, yet we see that the real reasons and the culprits remain here and unpunished.

The massive mobilisations from all over the country that put millions of people on the streets send a message that we will not allow this crime to be forgotten or covered up.

We are joining the mobilisation with the victims’ relatives on Sunday 26 January at 12.00 outside the Parliament. We unite our voice “for our future and our lives” against those who consider our lives expendable.

We will not allow the crime to be covered up.

We will not let the responsibilities be forgotten.

We will not accept to continue to sacrifice ourselves for their profits.

ALL at SYNTAGMA, Sunday 26/01 at 12.00pm
