Work stoppages on Wednesday 03/06 and Thursday 04/06 in a Greek-speaking project

Uncategorized June 2, 2026

We salute the workers in the company’s largest Greek-speaking project who, through mass departmental assemblies and with the support of the Union, decided to mobilize in order to demand better working conditions by participating in rolling work stoppages on Wednesday 03/06 and Thursday 04/06 from 09:00–13:00 and 17:00–21:00.

• It is not enough that work intensification has reached unbearable levels, with constant process changes and increasing responsibilities being piled onto agents.
• It is not enough that shifts cannot be properly covered due to understaffing, while leave requests are being postponed or even denied ahead of the summer period.
• It is not enough that workers cannot finish on time because the system does not shut down, forcing colleagues to stay beyond their shifts on a daily basis.
• It is not enough that workers are human beings with basic physical needs and must ask for permission just to go to the bathroom, or even worse, have to provide a doctor’s note when they need to leave early for health reasons, as if they must prove they are not lying.

Management even has the audacity to deny them the mere €100 increase resulting from the minimum wage rise, while selectively granting raises to language groups the company “needs more.”

The colleagues know very well that it is their hard work and dedication that keep the department running. The company reaps the profits on the one hand, while on the other it plays dumb whenever workers demand wage increases and better working conditions, claiming that “this is all they can do.”

That is why the workers are making it clear that they will no longer back down from their needs and from the possibilities that exist for them to live and work under better conditions today.

They demand:

• Wage increases based on modern living needs.
• Adequate staffing of all teams and shifts.
• The monthly schedule to be released by mid-month instead of at the last minute.
• An end to forced overtime caused by the system not shutting down at the end of shifts.
• An end to the unacceptable practice of workers having to ask permission for their basic physical needs.
• An end to the department demanding doctor’s notes when workers take early leave for health reasons.
• Approval of all leave requests ahead of the summer period.
• An end to monitors being reset when procedures change daily without proper information and training for workers.

STRIKE IN A PROJECT

Uncategorized October 13, 2024

The company’s panic after the announcement of the strike in a Greek-speaking project, as a step of escalation in the complete disregard on the part of the management to the demands of our colleagues, shows the strength we have.

It shows that without us, the company is a hollow building, unable to produce the profits it brags about every quarter in its statistics.

The minute after the strike was announced by the workers, the company rushed to send an email declaring it illegal and making the now familiar threats that participation in it would have consequences for the program and the bonus.

Threats that did not work, as the strike had almost a total participation and this forced the management to ask for the workers’ demands to be examined.

It is a huge victory! It shows the way. It shows that we have the power to demand work with rights and dignity. We take an example from the brave stand of our colleagues and continue on the same path to sign a Collective Labour Agreement.

Without us, no call is answered – no ticket is closed!

We have right on our side!
