PRESS RELEASE

On Friday, April 24, our Union’s General Assembly was held with mass participation.

The issues discussed included the Union’s participation in the May Day strike, honoring the 140th anniversary of May Day 1886 in Chicago and 1936 in Thessaloniki.

With emotion and a commitment to continue the struggle until the final victory of our class, we honor the 200 communists who were executed in Kaisariani on May Day 1944 by the occupation forces and their local collaborators.

The discussion was enriched by the specific issues faced by the company’s departments, as well as the need to sign a Collective Labor Agreement that meets our contemporary needs.

The General Assembly unanimously voted to participate in the strike on Friday, May 1st, and in the gatherings of the unions.

WE CALL ON ALL WORKERS
ON MAY DAY AT 10:30 AT SYNTAGMA

We follow the path of the 200 of Kaisariani and continue until final victory!

1886 CHICAGO – 1936 THESSALONIKI – 1944 KAISARIANI

MAY DAY 2026

STRIKE RALLY – SYNTAGMA SQUARE, 10:30

140 years after the great strike in Chicago in 1886, the tobacco workers of Thessaloniki in 1936, and the ultimate sacrifice of the 200 communists on May Day of 1944 in Kaisariani, we pick up the thread and continue to fight today, under conditions where global war seems closer than ever.

In a world that is burning, we, the workers, have a duty toward history and toward our children to draw a clear line between ourselves and those who want us as pawns in their dangerous war chess game. We have a duty to stand up and demand better working and living conditions.

140 years later, we continue, against the barbarity of the now legalized 13-hour workday, to seek balance between working time and free time, safety in workplaces, and ensuring that our wages do not run out before the end of the month.

The large nationwide assembly of PAME, with the participation of 718 unions from all over Greece, makes us stronger. We unite our voices with more than 2,000 trade unionists, many of whom participated for the first time, as did our union, to declare that we will not tolerate working from dawn to dusk, being unable to meet the cost of living, and ultimately becoming cannon fodder in their wars.

The government of New Democracy today, building on the foundations laid by previous governments and implementing EU directives, clearly targets the working class of the country by increasing daily working hours, creating new “Violantes” every day, continuously underfunding health and education, while at the same time “miraculously” finding money to support the country’s involvement in war.

We, the workers—Greeks and migrants—who have already felt the consequences of war on our own skin, demand an end to any involvement of our country in war, the return of military missions stationed abroad to serve imperialist interests, and the closure of all US and NATO bases that make us targets of retaliation.

We refuse to make further sacrifices for their profits and their wars! We have nothing to gain but peace and the friendship of peoples, as is proven daily by practical solidarity with the long-suffering people of Palestine, the people of Cuba, Venezuela, and every place targeted by the vultures of imperialist attacks.

Today, when our safety openly conflicts with the interests of big business and the state, the time has come to set aside any doubts that silence can secure our jobs and to follow the path of our colleagues at Intracom, Vodafone, and Nokia, who through strike mobilizations secured unpaid wages and obstructed hundreds of layoffs and anti-labor plans of the corporate groups.

Today, more than ever, we must take matters into our own hands and build a future based on our rights and our children’s dreams, not on the appetites of every big business shark who values nothing but profit.

We, the workers at Concentrix, have experience. Through our struggles, our Union was born, and from its very first day it has stood by dozens of our colleagues, fighting to improve working conditions, reduce work intensification, and secure additional rights for mothers with infants or people with chronic illnesses. We know how to make each colleague’s issue a matter for all.

This May Day, with our heads held high, we strike and demand:

• Disengagement of the country from the war
• Immediate closure of all NATO bases
• Return of military forces stationed abroad
• Collective labor agreements guaranteeing wages and rights, 7-hour workday – 5-day week – 35-hour week
• Funding for Health and Education

We call on the company’s workers to a General Assembly on Friday 24/4, 18:00, at the offices of SETIP (58 Solomou Street, 3rd floor) to discuss our next steps in the struggle for a Collective Labor Agreement and the organization of the May 1st strike.

We follow the path of the 200 of Kaisariani
and continue until the final victory!

Solidarity with Vodafone Workers on Strike!

Uncategorized March 5, 2026

The Workers’ Union at Webhelp (Concentrix) salutes the Vodafone workers who, together with their Union, are proceeding today with a 24-hour strike against at least 200 layoffs.

We extend our solidarity to our colleagues, as we face the same difficulties ourselves. We too have seen, more than a few times, our colleagues thrown out onto the street and entire projects shut down within a short period of time.

We refuse to accept that our needs and our lives are sacrificed for the profits of employers and corporate groups. Their audacity is such that, at the very moment they announce the layoffs of our colleagues, they also announce one record after another in overflowing profits and where they plan to invest them in order to increase them even further.

We call on all workers to rally together and fight through their Union, which is not only their support, but also the force that stands in the way of the employers’ plans.

We support the fair demands of the Vodafone workers and demand that the layoffs stop and that all jobs be safeguarded. A Collective Labour Agreement must be signed now!

Solidarity with the workers of NOKIA!

Uncategorized November 27, 2025

We express our solidarity with the workers of NOKIA, following the announcement on 19/11/2025 by the company’s CEO of a new “strategy” and a shift towards Artificial Intelligence and the arms industry.
In this “new strategy”, 200 of our colleagues are being pushed aside, left in complete uncertainty. These are profitable products — as the company itself cynically admits — but not profitable enough for the relentless pursuit of maximum profit in global competition.

Within a single day, thousands of workers worldwide — and over 200 in Greece — no longer know what the future holds. At the same time, 9 more layoffs are pending until the end of 2025.

The management may refuse to guarantee their absorption without interviews and negative changes to their working conditions, but workers have their Union by their side and they will not remain with their hands tied.

We stand with the workers and the Workers’ Union of NOKIA!
We support their strike and their just demands until the very end!

Solidarity with the Strikers of Speedex!

Uncategorized May 5, 2025

We express our solidarity and stand by the workers of Speedex, who are fighting for the re-employment of their colleagues and for the signing of an operational collective agreement.

We strongly condemn the company’s attempt to terrorize by sending the Speedex Workers’ Union to court, calling their fair strike to be illegal, while the company tried to set up strike-breaking mechanisms. We have a lot of experience both as a movement in general and in our sector of similar practices.

We have only one answer to give:

Terror will not prevail — the workers’ struggle will break it!

Our union, like all class unions, we demand permanent and stable work with rights and with wages that correspond to our modern needs. We march against any logic that wants silence in workplaces, heads down and fatalistic acceptance of legal slavery. Solidarity is the weapon of our class and with it we move forward united in front of every battle for better conditions today and tomorrow.

Strike on May Day 2025

Uncategorized April 28, 2025

MAY DAY IS NOT A BANK HOLIDAY

IT’S A STRIKE

The workers of Concentrix, who come from almost every corner of the globe, we honour May Day by participating massively in the strike mobilisation. We put down the headset, turn off the chats, put aside our back-office work and stand up in memory of those who gave their lives to ensure that today we have 8 hours of work, freedom and the right to live a life with rights.

We honour the memory of the fallen of Chicago in 1886 and Thessaloniki in 1936. The 200 communists of Kaisariani on May Day 1944. The victims of the crime in Tempe. The at least 200 deaths that our class has mourned from industrial accidents in the last two years. The thousands of deaths and refugees generated by the rotten system we live under. Wars, disasters, genocide, mothers with babies in boats ending up in liquid graves. Palestine, Syria, Lebanon. Every corner of the world where “people are killed for the master’s food”.

Either their profits or our lives.

we will not take a step back.

Today, more urgently than ever, we have a duty to intensify the struggle for work with conditions and wages that meet modern needs. Today, 139 years after the bloody workers’ uprising in Chicago, we work in complete insecurity. The eight-hour shift, which was achieved more than a century ago, seems like a distant memory. The salaries run out on the very first 10 days of the month, and every month we throw to chance which bills we will leave unpaid for the next month.

In a company like Concentrix, where every now and then we are informed about the profit barrier that is constantly being exceeded thanks to our work, it is unacceptable that there are workers who have panic attacks, who are told on Friday night what time they will work on Monday, where the complaints to the labour inspectorate about labour rights violations are never-ending.

Colleagues, our Union recently reached its first year of existence. A Union created through struggles, through unprecedented strike battles. Let this May Day be a great birthday celebration for our Union, alongside our sectoral union, the SETIP.

We strengthen our class struggle against the system that deprives us of oxygen!

Press release for the General Assembly. We strike on 28 February!

PRESS RELEASE February 16, 2025

Press release for the General Assembly

All join the strike on 28 February!

Athens, 16-02-2025

Our Union held a General Assembly on Saturday 15/02 for the preparation of the strike.

Through rich discussion and exchange of experience from the company’s departments, we exchanged thoughts, opinions and concerns.

The strike on 28 February will be more massive!

To send a strong message to the government of the New Democracy, to the coalition “opposition” of SYRIZA-PASOK and all those who support the government policy, that we workers in the dilemma “their profits or our lives” will always choose the former!

We strike!

  • We strike so that the crime in Tempe is not covered up! All criminal and political responsibilities must be held accountable.
  • We strike to stop the dismissals in all departments now.
  • We strike to demand health and safety measures for all workers.
  • We are striking to get a Collective Labour Agreement signed with permanent contracts for everyone, with raises that cover our needs, rights and achievements that affect every aspect of our work.

The General Assembly decided the following:

  • Participation in the strike on 28 February, at 11.00 am at Syntagma.
  • Organizing meetings in the following period by project on the subject of the CLA.

THE CRIME OF THE TEMPE WILL NOT BE COVERED UP! All join the strike on 28 FEBRUARY! GENERAL ASSEMBLY of the Union, SATURDAY 15/02 12.00

Uncategorized February 13, 2025

Everyone at the General Assembly of our Union, Saturday 15 February, at 31st Platonos Street (Kallithea),12:00pm.

28 February we all strike!

Do not cover up the crime in Tempe!

Colleagues,

The Workers’ Union in Webhelp (Concentrix) calls on all colleagues to participate in the strike on the 28th of February, to join our voices with all colleagues in the sector, in Teleperformance, in Foundever, in TTEC who are experiencing the same or very close problems as ours. With students, pupils, railway workers, teachers, health workers, miners and dockers.

As workers, we know first-hand what the “let’s go and see” logic that led to the state crime in Tempe means. The intensification, the pressure, the shutting down of departments, the layoffs, the warning letters, the panic attacks. All to maximize their profitability with complete disregard for our lives.

We all live and work in a vast vale of Tempe, in a general work jungle, and dangers at every turn of everyday life, whether in trains and public transport, in understaffed hospitals, in the schools of the sponsors who want to impose, where ceilings by chance do not fall on the heads of our children. The intensification, the pressure, the monitoring of every last second of our working day.

Our struggle for the signing of a Collective Labour Agreement with rights and achievements for all, increases that cover our modern needs, immediate implementation of the Presidential Decree on the organisation of working time for working on screens, the immediate provision of ergonomic equipment to all colleagues who work by telework. It is directly linked to the struggle against the logic that created the crime in Tempe, the policy that promotes its cover-up.

Our lives are NOT a cost! On 28 February we all participate in the strike!

We will not step back! We will not accept to live like modern slaves for their profits! We assert that the promise we made to be the voice of all those that died will be fulfilled by fighting to the end!

We demand:

    • Hold all criminal and political accountable for the crime of Tempe.
    • Stop the dismissals now.
    • The signing of a Collective Labour Agreement with: permanent contracts for all colleagues, raises for all that meet our needs, rights and gains that affect every aspect of our work.
    • Immediate implementation of the necessary health and safety measures for all, especially for colleagues who work from home and provide ergonomic desks and chairs.

We call:

    • To the General National strike on 28/02 and the gathering at Syntagma at 11.00 am, which has already been announced by dozens of Labor Centers, Federations and Unions all over Greece.

Everyone at the General Assembly of our Union, Saturday 15 February, at 31st Platonos Street (Kallithea),12:00pm.

28 February we all strike!

Do not cover up the crime in Tempe!

Solidarity to the striking workers at Teleperformance

Uncategorized November 19, 2024

Τhe Workers’ Union in Webhelp-Concentrix stands by the side of the colleagues participating in the 48-hour strike 19-20/11 at Teleperformance demanding the signing of a collective agreement.

The struggle of our colleagues in TP is also our struggle, many of us have been in the same departments for years together and we face the same problems.

Our struggle is common and fair so we join our voice with our striking colleagues!

On Wednesday 20/11 we meet in the big nationwide strike of our sector unions!

NO WORKER TO LOSE HIS JOB

Uncategorized November 14, 2024

Colleagues,

Our Union has received information from our colleagues in a Greek department that it will be closed from February. They were immediately asked to choose which department they want to move to, after being given half an hour (!) to respond.

Meeting with department managers one by one, our colleagues found themselves in the position of having to choose between employment in another department, or dismissal.

We call on the company here and now not to let a single job be lost! We do not accept a single euro to be cut from the wages of our colleagues! We point out that the employees of the department are paid a basic salary while the company is making a fortune on their backs.

We will not accept any blackmail on our colleagues to take decisions that will affect their entire lives without even giving them time to negotiate.

We will not be at the mercy of the bosses’ appetites and we will not allow anyone to make our already poor working conditions more difficult!

NO ONE ON THEIR OWN!

The Workers’ Union in Webhelp-Concentrix calls on all colleagues to contact the Union immediately, to not accept any blackmail. Together we will give all our strength and exhaust every possibility to secure the rights of our colleagues!

ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL

WE DEMAND

  • No worker to lose his job.
  • Immediate transfer of colleagues to other projects without any terms and conditions.
  • Stop the methodical individual negotiations that aim to put our colleagues in a difficult position.
  • Raises in our salaries now!
