The Union denounces unacceptable hygiene conditions

Uncategorized August 1, 2025

The Workers’ Union intervened on Thursday, July 31st, with the management of Concentrix regarding the presence of bedbugs on the 5th floor of the Metropolis building.

Following reports from workers that management had known about the issue since Wednesday, July 30th, but had taken no action to stop employees from working under such unacceptable and unhygienic conditions.

Under the immediate pressure from the Union, the company shamelessly made statements about “employee hygiene,” trying to cover up their own delay in taking action, claiming that workers would be removed from the area so that disinfestation could take place on Friday, August 1st.

Once again, we witness that the problem is not the inability of departments to coordinate in order to deal with such a situation (yes, we even heard that excuse!), but that the company’s profits come first, and only afterward come the health and safety measures that the company so proudly advertises through various drills!

We call on all colleagues to get in touch with the Union, to get organized and to fight together so we can work under better conditions within our departments!

Solidarity with the workers of Nokia

Uncategorized July 23, 2025

The Workers’ Union at Webhelp (Concentrix) stands in solidarity with and supports the work stoppage declared by the NOKIA Workers’ Union on Wednesday, 23/7/25, from 14:00 to 16:00, against the arbitrary transfer of 8 colleagues to a subcontracting company.

These colleagues were informed “overnight” that their employer was changing—yet no one bothered to inform them about the new terms and conditions of employment. They also conveniently “forgot” to give them the right to choose!

This is nothing new in our sector. There have been far too many instances where colleagues have found themselves with a “gun to their head,” being forced to “choose” between being transferred to another project or losing their job altogether.

In a time of technological advancement—when everything should make it easier for workers to work less and enjoy the fruits of their labor more—instead of feeling secure in our jobs, we are constantly confronted with arbitrariness, exploitation, and the devaluation of our labor power.

We loudly declare that we will no longer tolerate unilateral or blackmailing decisions. We are workers—we produce wealth—and we have the right to determine, at the very least, where and how we work.

We support the fair demands of the NOKIA workers and demand:

  • That no colleague be transferred
  •  That the process be frozen at least until 1/10/25, so that workers have the right to apply for other positions within NOKIA
  • That all colleagues be absorbed into other departments within NOKIA without adverse changes
  • That all workers and the Union receive an official and detailed update, with written answers to all the questions and demands that have been raised

The struggle of the NOKIA workers is our struggle, too.
All for one, and one for all!

Shame on them! Firing a worker with a chronic condition!

Uncategorized July 4, 2025

THINK HUMAN (ΝΟΤ)

Our Union denounces the management of Concentrix for firing a colleague with multiple sclerosis from a Greek project, despite her facing a serious vision problem!

This is how they show their “respect” for people: by dismissing someone with a chronic illness!

Under the familiar pretext of performance, they put her on the notorious Performance Improvement Program (PIP) to “improve” her numbers, at a time when the procedures in this department are under development and constantly changing.

No one, of course, talks about the zero-score monitors handed out like candy to colleagues — not only used as a pretext to cut bonuses, but also as a tool to push workers into performance evaluations.

Of course — since the colleague “didn’t meet the targets,” HR made sure to inform her that she was being dismissed, without giving her the chance to transfer to another department!
That’s how eager they were — while work intensification in the department is off the charts, the senior supervisor removed her from the team’s group chat on Teams before her dismissal was even fully communicated, just in case she said anything!

We’re saying it loud and clear once again: workers are not numbers — and we will not allow our lives to be treated as disposable for the sake of the company’s profits!

WE DEMAND:

  • Take back the dismissal of our colleague!
  • The abolition of the unacceptable evaluation program (PIP).
  • Full staffing of all shifts with the necessary personnel.
  • No shift without a supervisor and proper support.

Uprising! They sow devastation among the peoples of the world!

THE WAR FINISHES WHAT THEIR PEACE HAS LEFT INTACT

After America’s involvement in the war that has been going on for the last few days between Israel and Iran, we all understand that difficult days are dawning for the peoples of the same and neighboring countries, including Greece.

Our union is multicultural, with members from many countries, many of which are Middle Eastern, and cannot but take a clear and loud stand against the imperialist war that brings only destruction, death and misery.

We demand that any involvement of Greece in the war be stopped. The immediate closure of the NATO bases, the end of the surrender of airports, ports, military installations, equipment and personnel of the Greek armed forces to support the murderous operations carried out by the USA.

The government of New Democracy with its supporters has turned the country into a base of war and a target of retaliation.

The workers at Concentrix stand in solidarity with the victims of war, we stand up against every threat. We are not divided by origin, colour or religion. We are united by our class and the struggle to overthrow the system that breeds wars.

Solidarity with the Strikers of Speedex!

Uncategorized May 5, 2025

We express our solidarity and stand by the workers of Speedex, who are fighting for the re-employment of their colleagues and for the signing of an operational collective agreement.

We strongly condemn the company’s attempt to terrorize by sending the Speedex Workers’ Union to court, calling their fair strike to be illegal, while the company tried to set up strike-breaking mechanisms. We have a lot of experience both as a movement in general and in our sector of similar practices.

We have only one answer to give:

Terror will not prevail — the workers’ struggle will break it!

Our union, like all class unions, we demand permanent and stable work with rights and with wages that correspond to our modern needs. We march against any logic that wants silence in workplaces, heads down and fatalistic acceptance of legal slavery. Solidarity is the weapon of our class and with it we move forward united in front of every battle for better conditions today and tomorrow.

Strike on May Day 2025

Uncategorized April 28, 2025

MAY DAY IS NOT A BANK HOLIDAY

IT’S A STRIKE

The workers of Concentrix, who come from almost every corner of the globe, we honour May Day by participating massively in the strike mobilisation. We put down the headset, turn off the chats, put aside our back-office work and stand up in memory of those who gave their lives to ensure that today we have 8 hours of work, freedom and the right to live a life with rights.

We honour the memory of the fallen of Chicago in 1886 and Thessaloniki in 1936. The 200 communists of Kaisariani on May Day 1944. The victims of the crime in Tempe. The at least 200 deaths that our class has mourned from industrial accidents in the last two years. The thousands of deaths and refugees generated by the rotten system we live under. Wars, disasters, genocide, mothers with babies in boats ending up in liquid graves. Palestine, Syria, Lebanon. Every corner of the world where “people are killed for the master’s food”.

Either their profits or our lives.

we will not take a step back.

Today, more urgently than ever, we have a duty to intensify the struggle for work with conditions and wages that meet modern needs. Today, 139 years after the bloody workers’ uprising in Chicago, we work in complete insecurity. The eight-hour shift, which was achieved more than a century ago, seems like a distant memory. The salaries run out on the very first 10 days of the month, and every month we throw to chance which bills we will leave unpaid for the next month.

In a company like Concentrix, where every now and then we are informed about the profit barrier that is constantly being exceeded thanks to our work, it is unacceptable that there are workers who have panic attacks, who are told on Friday night what time they will work on Monday, where the complaints to the labour inspectorate about labour rights violations are never-ending.

Colleagues, our Union recently reached its first year of existence. A Union created through struggles, through unprecedented strike battles. Let this May Day be a great birthday celebration for our Union, alongside our sectoral union, the SETIP.

We strengthen our class struggle against the system that deprives us of oxygen!

Enough is enough! Better working conditions for all!

Uncategorized March 11, 2025

We salute our colleagues in the banking projects of the company who took the decision together with the Union to proceed on Wednesday 12/03 to a 4-hour work stoppage from 10.00 am – 14.00 pm.

We shake their hand, that in terrible conditions of intensification, where they receive one call after another, one chat after another, pressure from the managers for overtime, they decided to resist the brutality that the employer is trying to impose.

No one from the Management can say that they don’t know anymore! Colleagues themselves have often communicated that something needs to be done and have tried to find the management, which seems to be absent in front of the needs of the workers.

All they know is to ask for overtime and warn employees for negative customer feedback. They even went so far as to tell colleagues that if they do 4 – 10 hours of overtime they will get 30€ on their Up Hellas card!!!! Not to mention the audacity of a team leader who replied to a colleague that “if you don’t like it why are you sitting in the company?

Enough is enough!

We call on all colleagues to organize themselves in the Union and together we fight for better working conditions!

We demand:

– Wage increases based on modern needs.

– Monthly schedule with shifts communicated in a timely manner.

– Stop the exhausting overtime requested due to lack of staff.

– Reduce the number of chats served at one time.

– Stop the pressure on anyone requesting early leave.

– Stop sickness and leave being a criterion for bonus reduction.

– Stop the unacceptable status of employees requesting time off for physical needs.

– Stop blackmailing colleagues to come in from the office as a means of pressure.

– Have a thorough inspection of the air conditioning as mold was found and immediate cleaning.

Together we will all fight to change the situation!

We have the right to work as human beings and not as slaves!

8 March – Unrelenting struggle for women’s equality!

Uncategorized March 7, 2025

8 March – Unrelenting struggle for women’s equality!

It is a day to honour women’s struggles for equality, for equal rights in society, at work, in life itself. We continue to honour and celebrate the 8th March, the International Woman’s Day, until we achieve true equality, true freedom from all the slavery that forces us to serve our multifaceted daily lives without end. We are working women, mothers, students, housewives who are giving a real struggle not to reach despair!

We were informed of the company’s “gift”, the day before the anniversary of the women’s uprising, of free hairdressing and make-up services and we really wonder. What our female colleagues today are missing is a nice haircut and a well-done make-up? Don’t we need human working conditions? Understanding and support for working mothers? Support for female students? Respect and recognition?

In a workplace where we have recently received complaints from working mothers about unacceptable behaviour. Typical of what was said were things like no matter what if you are a mother of a new baby, you will come to the office”, “if your child is sick, take annual leave”, “if you have an exam, you will make up for it with overtime”.

We are of course not surprised that we are treated as pawns on their chessboard. With beautiful hair and well-painted lips, perhaps, but always pawns in the service of over-producing profit for the “king”.

In the past few days, we have participated in the most magnificent mobilisations this country has ever known. The whole nation shouted loudly that the crime in Tempe will not be allowed to be covered up, that all the guilty parties without exception must be held accountable, that measures must be taken to ensure that no similar predestined crime will ever happen again, ever, anywhere.

We honour and celebrate the 8th of March with all our soul and the optimism that comes from the struggles!

We call everyone to join on Friday 7/03 at 19.00 at Syntagma to continue the struggle against the policy that leads to “new Tempe”.

We participate in the event organized by the Federation of Women of Greece (OGE) with Unions and mass organizations on Saturday 8/3, at 11:00 at Syntagma at the beginning of Ermou and in the march that will follow to Monastiraki.

WE ARE INSPIRED BY THE GREAT WOMEN’S LABOUR STRUGGLES

WE ESCALATE THE STRUGGLE FOR OUR LIVES AND THE FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN
