Everyone to the Nationwide Strike – October 1st! The 13-hour workday bill will not pass!

Uncategorized September 28, 2025

Withdraw the new anti-labor bill that allows 13-hour workdays and flexible schedules!

The new government bill, a natural continuation of the Hatzidakis and Georgiadis laws, introduces the so-called “right” to work 13 hours a day for a single employer.
They are trying to convince us that overwork and exhausting overtime are a right — and at the same time, they make overtime cheaper for employers by reducing the additional contributions they have to pay.

They are also targeting summer vacation, abolishing the employer’s obligation to grant it during the specific period and without fragmentation.

At the same time that this bill is in “public consultation,” the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology & Communications Enterprises (SEPE) is demanding even more “facilitations” from the government.
All the anti-worker laws of recent years are not enough for them — they want us to work non-stop, as much as the employers’ profits demand, without limits on overtime!
They are even asking for the time we spend preparing to start or finish work to be excluded from the paid 8-hour shift, effectively adding one more hour to our working day!
And, outrageously, they want workers to pay out of their own salaries for the training required for our jobs!

They are ruthless! They want us working nonstop!

At Concentrix, we know firsthand the consequences of these government and SEPE “proposals” — even before this monstrous bill is passed!
It’s nothing new for management to demand that we split up our summer vacation, claiming there isn’t enough staff to cover the shifts.
We’re not shocked to hear them ask for no limits on overtime — overtime hours are already sky-high in many departments, with management shamelessly telling us it’s a way to increase our income.

But they are hiding the real truth: As working hours increase, company profits skyrocket! This enormous profit comes directly from our labor and effort.

Our union calls on all workers to take matters into our own hands and fight back!
Now is the time to strengthen our union, the voice of workers against employer attacks!

We are putting all our strength into making the October 1st strike massive and powerful!
Only through organized struggle can we put up barriers to their plans!

We demand:

  • The new anti-labor bill must not be submitted!
  • 7-hour day, 5-day week, 35-hour workweek!
  • Wage increases and a signed Collective Labor Agreement.
  • Reinstatement of the 3-year increments and recognition of all past working years.
  • Health and safety measures in our workplaces.

EVERYONE ON STRIKE – WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1 –

10:30 PROPYLAEA (metro station Panepistimio)

Everyone on Thursday, August 14, at 7 a.m. at the Port of Piraeus! The cruise ship carrying Israeli soldiers is unwelcome!

PRESS RELEASE August 10, 2025

STOP the involvement in and support of the genocide against the Palestinian people!

GREECE WILL NOT BECOME A HAVEN FOR WAR CRIMINALS!

The Workers’ Union in Webhelp (Concentrix) denounces the provocative arrival of a cruise ship from Israel at the port of Piraeus, carrying Israeli soldiers for “recreation,” at a time when the Palestinian people are being slaughtered daily in Gaza by the murderous state.
This cruise ship should meet the same fate as ships carrying military equipment, which were never allowed to dock at the port.

The New Democracy government, along with the other bourgeois parties, bears major responsibility for its support of the murderous state. Together with the Israeli embassy, they are using the arrival of this cruise ship to whitewash the crimes of the murderous state and to suppress any reaction or expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people, under the pretext of “antisemitism.”

We call on all workers in the company to actively and resolutely express our solidarity with the Palestinian people. The death toll has exceeded 60,000, the majority of them children. At the same time, the number of children and civilians dying from hunger continues to rise.

We all join the protest rally — strong, united, and determined — on Thursday, August 14, at 7:00 a.m., at Gate E12, Port of Piraeus.

We demand:
• No economic, political, or military cooperation and support for the murderous state of Israel.
• Freedom for Palestine!
• An immediate end to the unacceptable operation aimed at occupying the Gaza Strip.
• Recognition of the Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with UN resolutions.

Strike on May Day 2025

Uncategorized April 28, 2025

MAY DAY IS NOT A BANK HOLIDAY

IT’S A STRIKE

The workers of Concentrix, who come from almost every corner of the globe, we honour May Day by participating massively in the strike mobilisation. We put down the headset, turn off the chats, put aside our back-office work and stand up in memory of those who gave their lives to ensure that today we have 8 hours of work, freedom and the right to live a life with rights.

We honour the memory of the fallen of Chicago in 1886 and Thessaloniki in 1936. The 200 communists of Kaisariani on May Day 1944. The victims of the crime in Tempe. The at least 200 deaths that our class has mourned from industrial accidents in the last two years. The thousands of deaths and refugees generated by the rotten system we live under. Wars, disasters, genocide, mothers with babies in boats ending up in liquid graves. Palestine, Syria, Lebanon. Every corner of the world where “people are killed for the master’s food”.

Either their profits or our lives.

we will not take a step back.

Today, more urgently than ever, we have a duty to intensify the struggle for work with conditions and wages that meet modern needs. Today, 139 years after the bloody workers’ uprising in Chicago, we work in complete insecurity. The eight-hour shift, which was achieved more than a century ago, seems like a distant memory. The salaries run out on the very first 10 days of the month, and every month we throw to chance which bills we will leave unpaid for the next month.

In a company like Concentrix, where every now and then we are informed about the profit barrier that is constantly being exceeded thanks to our work, it is unacceptable that there are workers who have panic attacks, who are told on Friday night what time they will work on Monday, where the complaints to the labour inspectorate about labour rights violations are never-ending.

Colleagues, our Union recently reached its first year of existence. A Union created through struggles, through unprecedented strike battles. Let this May Day be a great birthday celebration for our Union, alongside our sectoral union, the SETIP.

We strengthen our class struggle against the system that deprives us of oxygen!

Press release for the General Assembly. We strike on 28 February!

PRESS RELEASE February 16, 2025

Press release for the General Assembly

All join the strike on 28 February!

Athens, 16-02-2025

Our Union held a General Assembly on Saturday 15/02 for the preparation of the strike.

Through rich discussion and exchange of experience from the company’s departments, we exchanged thoughts, opinions and concerns.

The strike on 28 February will be more massive!

To send a strong message to the government of the New Democracy, to the coalition “opposition” of SYRIZA-PASOK and all those who support the government policy, that we workers in the dilemma “their profits or our lives” will always choose the former!

We strike!

  • We strike so that the crime in Tempe is not covered up! All criminal and political responsibilities must be held accountable.
  • We strike to stop the dismissals in all departments now.
  • We strike to demand health and safety measures for all workers.
  • We are striking to get a Collective Labour Agreement signed with permanent contracts for everyone, with raises that cover our needs, rights and achievements that affect every aspect of our work.

The General Assembly decided the following:

  • Participation in the strike on 28 February, at 11.00 am at Syntagma.
  • Organizing meetings in the following period by project on the subject of the CLA.

THE CRIME OF THE TEMPE WILL NOT BE COVERED UP! All join the strike on 28 FEBRUARY! GENERAL ASSEMBLY of the Union, SATURDAY 15/02 12.00

Uncategorized February 13, 2025

Everyone at the General Assembly of our Union, Saturday 15 February, at 31st Platonos Street (Kallithea),12:00pm.

28 February we all strike!

Do not cover up the crime in Tempe!

Colleagues,

The Workers’ Union in Webhelp (Concentrix) calls on all colleagues to participate in the strike on the 28th of February, to join our voices with all colleagues in the sector, in Teleperformance, in Foundever, in TTEC who are experiencing the same or very close problems as ours. With students, pupils, railway workers, teachers, health workers, miners and dockers.

As workers, we know first-hand what the “let’s go and see” logic that led to the state crime in Tempe means. The intensification, the pressure, the shutting down of departments, the layoffs, the warning letters, the panic attacks. All to maximize their profitability with complete disregard for our lives.

We all live and work in a vast vale of Tempe, in a general work jungle, and dangers at every turn of everyday life, whether in trains and public transport, in understaffed hospitals, in the schools of the sponsors who want to impose, where ceilings by chance do not fall on the heads of our children. The intensification, the pressure, the monitoring of every last second of our working day.

Our struggle for the signing of a Collective Labour Agreement with rights and achievements for all, increases that cover our modern needs, immediate implementation of the Presidential Decree on the organisation of working time for working on screens, the immediate provision of ergonomic equipment to all colleagues who work by telework. It is directly linked to the struggle against the logic that created the crime in Tempe, the policy that promotes its cover-up.

Our lives are NOT a cost! On 28 February we all participate in the strike!

We will not step back! We will not accept to live like modern slaves for their profits! We assert that the promise we made to be the voice of all those that died will be fulfilled by fighting to the end!

We demand:

    • Hold all criminal and political accountable for the crime of Tempe.
    • Stop the dismissals now.
    • The signing of a Collective Labour Agreement with: permanent contracts for all colleagues, raises for all that meet our needs, rights and gains that affect every aspect of our work.
    • Immediate implementation of the necessary health and safety measures for all, especially for colleagues who work from home and provide ergonomic desks and chairs.

We call:

    • To the General National strike on 28/02 and the gathering at Syntagma at 11.00 am, which has already been announced by dozens of Labor Centers, Federations and Unions all over Greece.

Everyone at the General Assembly of our Union, Saturday 15 February, at 31st Platonos Street (Kallithea),12:00pm.

28 February we all strike!

Do not cover up the crime in Tempe!

26 January at 12.00pm in Syntagma for “our future and our lives”

Uncategorized January 25, 2025

Colleagues,

The new audio documents from the crime in Tempe clearly debunk the attempted cover-up by the state, the government, the EU and Hellenic Train. They confirm in the most tragic way that many of the victims survived the collision and died a horrible death in the explosions and fire that followed.

It has been 2 years since the crime and the death of 57 people, mostly young people, yet we see that the real reasons and the culprits remain here and unpunished.

The massive mobilisations from all over the country that put millions of people on the streets send a message that we will not allow this crime to be forgotten or covered up.

We are joining the mobilisation with the victims’ relatives on Sunday 26 January at 12.00 outside the Parliament. We unite our voice “for our future and our lives” against those who consider our lives expendable.

We will not allow the crime to be covered up.

We will not let the responsibilities be forgotten.

We will not accept to continue to sacrifice ourselves for their profits.

Joint announcement by SETIP – Teleperformance Union (SETEP) – Workers’ Union Webhelp

Uncategorized November 21, 2024

In continuation of our struggle throughout the previous period in the face of the unacceptable special purpose visa regime, both with our mobilizations in the Parliament and at the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum, we managed on Monday 18 November to have a meeting with relevant officials of the Ministry, with the presence of colleagues from SETIP, the Union of Employees at Teleperformance, the Union of Employees at Webhelp, as well as fellow lawyers and the President of the Union of Employees of the Decentralized Administration of Attica.

At the meeting all the problems that concern colleagues from countries outside the EU, were raised, such as the renewal of residence permits, the excessive delays in issuing permits and appointments for biometric data, the difficulties in receiving the benefits provided (DYPA), the huge problem with the effective denial of family reunification, especially with the ambiguities and confusion about the recent changes in the law regarding the abolition of the special purpose visa. Ministry officials acknowledged the problems and provided the following clarifications:

– New changes to the law are being proposed in the near future in order to improve the outstanding issues. Among other things, the intention was expressed to broaden the relevance of the professions in which work is permitted under the colleague’s dispensing permit scheme.

– New digital procedures are being promoted to automate the renewal of residence permits, with the official identification of tax and insurance information.

– The renewal of the residence permit of colleagues requires only tax and insurance information (stamps) and does not require the presentation of a work contract.

– Delays in appointments for fingerprinting are due to staff shortages and the need to simplify procedures.

– A promise was made to issue regulations to the relevant departments so that the statutory allowances provided for by law are paid to all colleagues entitled to them, in particular unemployment and maternity allowances from the DYPA.

– The Ministry is in discussions with the relevant Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address problems at the Greek embassies for the approval of family reunification. It was clarified that those who have submitted papers for residence permit before 04/24 have the right to family reunification, while those who have received their permit afterwards will have this right after two years in Greece.

Colleagues, the commitments made by the Ministry prove that our struggle and the pressure exerted by the Ministry is bringing results!

We are not complacent! It is clear that until any commitment is put into practice we remain vigilant! We are on the alert to be able to achieve even more substantial changes in the next two months when the law will be changed again.

All united, no one alone! We are many we are right, we will win!
