We salute the massive participation of workers in the 2-hour work stoppages in the Greek-speaking project, called by our Union, in support of the fair struggle of our colleagues for better working conditions.

Throughout the mobilization of our colleagues, the management engaged in the familiar children’s game of hide and seek. And we wonder, did they not have the guts to confront the workers or were they forced to pick up calls to reduce the already increased workload?

In the second case, however, they might have understood why the demands of the department’s workers are in every way fair and must be met immediately.

Once again, we tell them to stop hiding and to think carefully of the demands of our colleagues. The 2-hour work stoppages were only the beginning.

We will not step back. We make the profits they brag about all the time, we have the right to work like human beings, not like slaves.

We continue to stand united on the side of all Webhelp – Concentrix workers.

We call on every colleague who is facing a problem in their department to contact the union.

Colleagues,

Once again, the workers of the well-known project of the company Α., which deals with accommodation rentals, are facing layoffs. The company came forward for the second year in a row to layoffs of our colleagues, whether with permanent or fixed time contracts of 6 months, provided by the “HR outsourcing sweatshop” of Randstad, since “the client no longer needs that many people”.

We call here and now the company to place the colleagues and not a single job to be lost. We do not accept any argument that “whoever has good KPIs” will be offered a job in another project, as we already have negative experience.

We ask them how can a performance criterion be set for colleagues who have been with the company for 3 months? In 3 months, you don’t have time to learn the procedures of the project. How is a colleague going to be efficient when there is the uncertainty and intimidation that if everyone doesn’t come to the office, they won’t have access to work?

What happened to the promises made to colleagues when they were hired that no one would lose their job even if they had been with the company for 3 or 6 months? Is it a way to establish part-time contracts as is done in other similar companies to avoid workers’ rights?

We are well aware that the workload has intensified in most departments, and there are often not enough staff to get shifts and work done. It is no coincidence that despite the layoffs of our colleagues, there are job openings. No one is left over!

NO ONE ALONE!

The Workers’ Union in Webhelp-Concentrix calls on colleagues in the R. project to contact the Union immediately, no one should accept to sign a dismissal or resignation, no one should accept any blackmail. All together we will give all our strength and exhaust every possibility to secure the rights of our colleagues.

ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL!

WE DEMAND:

– No one should lose their job.

– All necessary documents should be provided to the colleagues who are on special purpose visas.

– Immediate reassignment of colleagues to other projects without conditions.

– Increases in our wages now!

The Election Committee announces:

During the election process held on 27/5, 29/5 and 1/6 of 2024, a total of 197 colleagues voted for the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.

The total number of valid votes was 197, while 2 blank votes were found.

For the Audit Committee, the first 3:

For the Athens Labour Centre (EKA) 195 colleagues voted. There were 195 valid votes, 2 blank, based on the electoral measure 3 representatives were elected.

For representatives in the Athens Labour Centre, the following colleagues are elected:

For the Federation of Private Employees of Greece (OIYE) 192 colleagues voted. There were 192 valid votes, 2 blank, based on the electoral measure 3 representatives were elected.

For representatives in the OIYE, the following colleagues are elected:

The election process went smoothly. Nothing remarkable happened, and no objections were raised.

The Election Committee

On 19/5/24 the General Assembly took place, from which the 3-member election committee was elected, with an equal number of alternate members.
After the meeting of the members of the election committee it was decided that the elections of our Union will take place on 27/5 and 29/5 11:00 – 19:00 at the offices of Webhelp, and on 1/6 12:00 – 18:00 at the Labour Centre of Athens.

According to our Union’s statutes, nominations must be submitted by Wednesday 22/5 at 21:00 to our Union’s email (contact@sewh.gr) or to the members of the election committee. In any case, the relevant application form must be completed and will be available on the Union’s website as well as on the tables with the Union’s materials that will be outside the company in the next few days.
